All tents used on the Green must be weighted rather than staked unless special permission is received and arrangements are made six (6) weeks prior to the event in question. The arrangements include exact location of staked tents and the clear understanding of where the irrigation system exists on the Green. If such tent placement is approved, the applicant will arrange with the Parks and Recreation Department to have the area(s) in question marked with field marking paint. Stakes may not be installed into the ground any closer than 24” (2-feet) on either side of markings. A fee of $50.00 per section of the green will be charged to mark out the irrigation system. The payment should be in the form of cash or cashiers check paid at least 48 hours before marking is to be done. During tent installation and/or during event a park employee will inspect the section of the Green being used. If we find that a stake has been installed within 24” of an irrigation line or any damage has been caused you will be responsible for a $600.00 inspection fee plus the cost of any damage incurred.

hereby represent that I am duly authorized to sign this agreement and that the Group or Entity identified above agrees that the arrangements made with the Parks and Recreation Department prior to the event will be carried out faithfully. The areas where tents that are to be staked have been clearly defined to me and any other tents or structures will use ground level weights as support.
I further agree that any damage done to the irrigation system on the Town Green will be the responsibility of the group or entity (if individual, then individual responsibility) that I represent and hereby bind. I understand that I and/or my group/entity are responsible for any and all costs involving repair of the irrigation system as a result of improper procedure on our part regarding placement of tents and structures on the New Milford Town Green:
