Snow Removal: MGL Chapter 85, Section 7B, regarding the depositing of snow on state highways:
No person other than an employee in the service of the Commonwealth, or any political subdivision thereof, or an employee in the service of an independent
contractor acting for the Commonwealth or any such subdivision shall pile, push or
plow snow or ice onto a sate highway so as to impede the flow of traffic on such way. Whoever violates this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than one
hundred fifty (150) dollars.
MGL Chapter 85, Section 2:
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than one acting in an emergency, to park said vehicles on any street for a period of time longer than one (1) hour between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. of any day between December 1st of one year and March 31st of the next succeeding year.

The Town of Berkley has a mandatory recycling by-law. A current Transfer Station sticker is required for entry to the facility. Please have your sticker visible on your vehicle.

All household trash, for example, food scraps, wrappers, broken glass, go in the Town of Berkley trash bags. Non-recyclable items too large to fit in a Town of Berkley trash bag, go in the Bulky Container. Town of Berkley bags can be
purchased at the Recycling Center or the Town Clerk’s Office and from the following local business: The Common Crossing.
We pay SEMASS by the ton for our trash; if you include recyclable items in your trash you are costing the Town money. We get paid for the baled office paper, corrugated cardboard, plastics and glass.

Returnable Bottles and Cans: Each month a local non-profit organization benefits from the returnables that are dropped off at the Recycling Center. See the Supervisor if you would like to participate in this program.
