Prior to the meeting the Retiring Chair thanked the Council for their support in the busy but enjoyable last year. The Retiring Chair thanked fellow Councillors, the Clerk and all the staff for their input and assistance over the last year. A special thank you was given to his wife and family for their support and good wishes.
Cheques were presented to FC Nomads, Connah’s Quay OAP Association and Rainbow Biz for their contribution to the community. Listings of all other donations were available in the office.
1.CHAIR
RESOLVED:
That Councillor Mrs G. A. Faulkner be elected Chair for the ensuing year.
(Councillor Mrs G. A. Faulkner in the Chair at this point).
2.PRESENTATIONS
The Retiring Chair presented the Chair with the Chain of Office.
The Chair presented the Retiring Chair with a suitably inscribed plaque of the Arms of the Town Council in commemoration of his year of office.
3.SUMMONS OF MEETING
The summons of meeting was received.
4.APOLOGIES
Apologies for non-attendance were received from Councillors A. P. Shotton and
P. J. Wainwright.
5.CHAIR'S DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1972 - SECTION 83(4)(a)
Councillor Mrs G. A. Faulknerduly signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office of Chair in the presence of the Clerk as Proper Officer.
6.VICE-CHAIR
RESOLVED:
That Councillor M. Whitebe elected Vice-Chair for the ensuing year.
7.PRESENTATION
The Retiring Vice-Chair presented Councillor M. White with the Vice-Chair’s Chain of Office.

12.CALENDAR OF MEETINGS 2015/16
RESOLVED:
That Council meetings will be held on the last Monday of every month. If this coincides with a Bank Holiday the meeting will take place on the Tuesday of the same week. Committee meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of every month.
13.CHAIR’S CLOSING REMARKS
The Chair, thanked all for their attendance, and Members for the honour and privilege of her election. She welcomed their support for the busy yet enjoyable forthcoming year and thanked Councillor P. Tinman for his guidance and friendship during his time as Chair, she also thanked his consort. The Chair thanked her own Consort Councillor E. Faulkner for all his support in the last year and his much needed support for the commencing term of office as Chair.
The Chair concluded the meeting by inviting all present to accompany her to the Labour Club for light refreshments.
