c[5]. Canatxx Agreement: The Director of Education and Leisure has agreed to meet with a delegation in
Llangefni , he’s provided three dates - 4.5.& 6th October. Unfortunately the Chair of the Finance
Committee is away on holiday until 4th October, on his return, the clerk will arrange accordingly.
4 e]. Amlwch Street Scape: Need to arrange a date for the panel to meet to discuss the painting tenders.
Also a problem has arisen regarding the railings around St. Eleth Church & Diocese Office.
4]. External Meetings:
[a]. Planning Forum: Cnllr Meg Roberts gave a detailed report following the meeting. Following recent
Concerns that the meetings were not well attended, there was an increase in the number of
Community Councils represented. The main issue of concern was that discussions are in progress
of joining both Gwynedd and Anglesey within the LDP. Council voiced concern with this proposal,
several issues need to be addressed – where would the base be , either Llangefni or Caernarvon ?
There is no comparison between areas in Gwynedd and Anglesey, Council feel that we would most
certainly lose our identity. The Clerk was asked to send a letter to the Isle of Anglesey County
Council to voice the Council’s disapproval to this proposed arrangement.
[b]. AONB – Cnllr Gwynn Jones advised that he had called at the Open day arranged recently at the
Amlwch Scouts Hut and was informed that at 5.15p.m. he was the third person to attend the event.
5]. Post Offices: In the absence of Cnllr E. Connolly, the clerk advised that Cnllr E. Connolly had been approached by
several local residents voicing concern that the Post Office was closed on the Saturday leading up to the
Bank Holiday without any notification , Council felt that this matter was not a Council matter.

7]. Amlwch Weekly Market: The County Council have now taken responsibility of the weekly market.
8]. Cnllr Dylan Jones’ monthly report: the clerk to photocopy the report and distribute to all Council members.
9]. Local Government Boundary Commission:
Council feel that the proposed arrangement of adding part of Llaneilian to the Amlwch Rural Ward is not
logical – it would make more sense to include the Llaneilian Ward with the Port Ward and add the Town
Ward to the Rural Ward. The clerk was asked to send a letter to voice the Council’s comments. In view
that this process will only reduce the number from 40 Councillors to 36. Council ask whether the cost of
this exercise can be justified with just a reduction of four Councillors ?
10]. Public Consultation on Draft Interim Planning Policy – Large Sites – the clerk to arrange that each member of the
Planning panel have a copy of the documentation.
11]. Correspondence:
