Part D Payment Details

1.A cheque made payable to “London Borough of Tower Hamlets”(No VAT is charged), together with the APPLICATION FORM should be sent to STREET ENVIRONMENT at the above address and MARKED for the attention of the STREET ENVIRONMENT OFFICER who attended the meeting and agreed the closure in “Parts B and C” above. The Street Environment officer will verify the APPLICATION FORM before sending it to Traffic Section for the Temporary Order Making procedure to be commenced.

2.Temporary Traffic Orders and Temporary Notices are issued in accordance with Section 16a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991and in accordance with The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992.

3.All Section 16a temporary road closures and traffic restrictions MUST BE SIGNED to CHAPTER 8 of THE TRAFFIC SIGNS MANUAL, together with any specific signing requirements requested by the local authority or the Metropolitan Police. Particular regard should be paid to signing of DIVERSION ROUTES when required.

THE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL THE CHEQUE AND COMPLETED FORM HAS BEEN RETURNED TO STREET ENVIRONMENT SECTION AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS.

For Official Use Only- By the Street Works Officer NAMED in Part C 1. above. When the relevant Officer in Street Environment has approved the APPLICATION, the FORM and CHEQUE should then be passed to Traffic Admin for TEMPORARY ORDER MAKING to commence.
