Tourist visa (Tourist card):

Every person going to Cuba as a tourist needs:

  • A valid passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return.
  • A plane ticket with date of entry and return.

if you travel from US to Cuba you can´t buy the tourist card in Sweden because:

“In accordance with recent legislations approved by the US government, citizens who are travelling from USA to Cuba (no matter their nationality), must buy the Visa Card in the United States, following the 12 categories established by the US Department of State. Tourists travelling to Cuba from the United States are required to buy another type of Visa Card and fill out an affidavit. Air line companies will not allow to embark from the US those tourists who are not able to present the required Visa Card and the above mentioned documents.”

  • A booking the hotel.
  • Fill out he application form attached per each person.

The cost per each Tourist visa is $198 SEK in cash for consular fee payment. If the application is made by a third party, an extra consular fee of $ 275.00 SEK will be charged for non personal service.

If the application is made by mail, an extra consular fee of $ 275.00 SEK will be charged for non personal service and 76 SEK by postage in order to return the documents. The payment must be done by transference payable to:

NOTE: All cash sent by mail will be refused and returned at the own risk of the applicant.

The Tourist Visa or Tourist Card is only for purposes of tourism to Cuba. It is valid for one single entrance into national territory for a 30-day trip and can be extended for an additional 30 days at the office in the hotel where one has accommodations or with the immigration authority.

Travelers shall have a travel insurance which covers medical expenses or a policy for medical expenses with coverage in Cuba. The insurance policy should be taken out at the home country of departure. Travelers, who, exceptionally, do not have insurance at arrival, could take out a policy of insurance and assistance from Cuban insurance companies at the airport.
