Minutes of the Regularly Scheduled Chapter Meeting
The July Chapter meeting of the Central Virginia Chapter was held at the Hampton Inn, in Fishersville, VA, on Thursday, July 18th. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chapter President Allison Fink. Also present were Ryann Coles, Chapter VP, Darin Garrison, Chapter Treasurer, Kelly Buchanan, Chapter Secretary, John Beiler Park View Federal Credit Union, Wayne Carickhoff Commonwealth One Federal Credit Union, Alan Christopher DuPont Community Credit Union, Kim Dean DuPont Community Credit Union, Steve Hildebrand DuPont Community Credit Union, David Deacon Chapter Liaison VACUL, Suzanne Hodgins VACUL Board Chair, Tracy Brown UVA Credit Union, Jeff Allen UVA Credit Union, Nancye Nuckols Augusta Health Care Credit Union.

The number of people in attendance: 14
Dinner provided by Simple Elegance Catering was served at 5:30p.m.
Welcome:
Allison Finkwelcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for their attendance.
Meeting:
Treasurer’s report: $16,311.17 total as of June 30, 2013.
Minutes from May’s Chapter meeting were approved.
Allison Fink briefly reviewed the new bylaws.
League Governmental Affairs:
Alan updated the chapter with the involvement for the “Don’t Tax My Credit Union” movement. So far 8,000 Virginians have contacted their representatives in an effort to keep Credit Unions exempt from federal taxes.
VACUPAC pins are currently for sale.
League Updates:
David spoke briefly about the VACUL newsletter and events such as:
- VACUPAC golf tournament
- Fall Compliance in Williamsburg
- Legislative Dinner/Breakfast in the fall
Chapter Election:
The slate for the Chapter’s 2013-2014 board was:
- Wayne Carickhoff
- Steve Hildebrand
- Tracy Brown
- Jeff Allen
No nominations were presented from the floor
Motion:
Nancye Nuckols made a motion to accept the slate by acclamation and elect the new board as presented. Ryann Coles seconded the motion. There was no discussion and all were in favor by voice.
League Chair Suzanne Hodgins installed the new board members.
