  1. Scholarship recipients must be a resident of Pendleton County and a graduating senior at Pendleton County High School.
  1. Scholarships must be used the fall semester immediately following the award unless illness or injury prevents the recipient from attending. In the event the student is unable to use the scholarship in the fall semester, he/she must request that the funds be held in writing. This request will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.
  1. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the college or university of recipient’s choice.
  1. Awards will be based on a combination of the characteristics of the applicant: sincerity of purpose, determination, cooperation, standardized college admission scores (ACT), leadership ability, citizenship, scholarship need, grade point average, rank in class and evidence of the applicant’s community and extra curricular school activities.
  1. Applicants must be applying with the intention to receive a two or four-year degree.
  1. Each applicant must submit a completed application with his/her work and a high school transcript.
  1. The scholarship recipient will be selected by a committee composed of:
  2. High school principal
  3. High school counselor
  4. A teacher
  5. Two (2) Board of Directors members

Submit your completed application to the Guidance Office on or before the due date for completion as established by that office.

The committee will choose the candidate based on the applications submitted and the decision will be final.

IV. Attach two written recommendations with the rating sheets from persons well acquainted with your work. One should be from a teacher who you have had in class. Instructions for return of recommendations areon the rating sheet.

V.Attach a transcript.
