8bd INDY tournament with SHEP – Shelagh Paulsson

Don’t miss this opportunity to play with and learn from a superb teacher

Shelagh will comment on the previous board at the start of each round change - it is useful to keep the bridge movie on screen during her comments so that you can see your bidding/play , you can use the blue bar at the top of the ‘movie’ panel to click/hold/drag to move it so that it does not obscure her comments in the chat panel

Shelagh lives in Ottawa, Canada. She learned to play bridge while a student at Carleton University in Ottawa. She has been a member of the ACBL since 1970, and has represented Canada at WBF events in New Orleans, Miami, Corpus Christi, Salsomaggiore, Albuquerque, and Bermuda.
She represented Canada in the World Bridge Olympiad in Istanbul, 2004. Since 1994, Shelagh has been a Member of ACBL Good Will Committee.

For four years, she held a weekly "Ask Shelagh" session and taught private lessons at the Kate Buckman Bridge Studio in Toronto. In April, 1996, Shelagh joined OKBridge, joining the Fifth Chair Foundation, teaching at novice bidding practice sessions, and answering questions e-mailed from the "Ask Anything" link on the Fifth Chair web site. Since September, 2001, Shelagh has taught primarily on BBO.

Shelagh's proudest achievement as a teacher is reaching the semi-finals of the 1998 Canadian Women's Team Championship with Elizabeth Redrupp, who started studying with her in 1994. Fred received many of his early lessons from Shelagh.

Shelagh was one of the first teachers to hold free sessions for members . She currently teaches on Wednesdays at 11:30 EDT - a 5bd Indy followed by an in BIL in depth review of the boards.
