Todd Family Numbers and Descriptions

This list is intended to identify all the Todd families in America. It is organized in three groups - one group with known immigrant ancestor (Todd Families 1-99), one group that is American-born or of unknown birth place (Todd Families 100->160+) and a third group are Irish Todds and Scottish Todds. It is intended to make it possible to easily refer to a specific family, to keep all these families straight and to locate researchers sharing a common lineage. There are 114 familiesidentified as 11/20/2012.
The last column indicates researchers interested in each line. The DNA column indicates which families have at least one DNA sample for their line. As of Nov 2012, we have secured DNA samples for 91 of the 114 families listed (80%) and have 5 samples pending which will bring it to 84%.

A Hugh Todd appears in the 1750 tax list for LondonderryTownship. John, James and Hugh do not appear later. I am leaning towards believing that he is the James Todd who appears in York Co in 1753 based on geographical proximity and time sequence.
