In a prior email, I provided the latest information on the MAC awards. I then learned of the protest in Jurisdiction 11 and informed the State Exces of those states. However, now other jurisdiction awards are being challenged. The latest information is as follows:

·  Jurisdiction 6: Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin – the contract also includes the home health and hospice processing workload in Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Northern Mariana Islands, Oregon, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Wisconsin and Washington.

Noridian Administrative Services (NAS) was awarded the MAC contract for Jurisdiction 6.Four protests against the award were filed with the GAO, which must render a decision on the protests no later than 100 days. The deadline for GAO's decision on the protests is May 2009.

·  Jurisdiction 8: Indiana and Michigan

National Government Services (NGS) was awarded the MAC contract for Jurisdiction 8.A protest was also lodged against this award.The deadline for GAO decision on the protest is May 6, 2009.

·  Jurisdiction 11: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia – the contract also included the home health and hospice processing workload in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas

Palmetto Government Benefits Administrator (Palmetto GBA) was awarded the MAC contract for Jurisdiction 11.However, on February 2, a protest was filed against the award.The deadline for the GAO decision on the protest is May 13, 2009.

·  Jurisdiction 15: Kentucky and Ohio – the contract also included the home health and hospice processing workload in Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming

Highmark Medicare Services (HMS) was awarded a contract for the MAC for Jurisdiction 15.Two protests against the award were filed with GAO. The deadline for GAO's decision on the protests is May 2009.
