Subject:Healthier US School Challenge (HUSSC) Workshop Schedule

The HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC) is a voluntary initiative to recognize those schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity.Schools meeting various criteria with their menus, their physical activity and nutrition education programs can apply for Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold with Distinction awards and receive monetary incentives.

In an effort to promote the Healthier US School Challenge (HUSSC) in New Jersey, USDA representatives will be conducting workshops for school personnel interested in applying for this initiative.Workshop participants will learn proper procedures for applying and completing the required forms to enter the HUSSC.

The workshopswill begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and conclude by 1:00 p.m.

If school personnel are unable to attend the workshops but would like to enter the “Healthier US School Challenge”, applications and all required forms are available at:
