Subject: Progress Report: Job #33333

Introduction

On February 20, you requested a projection of the timeline for completing the turnaround revamp of the painting system, job # 33333. An analysis showed a two month competition time, from March 3 – May 9, 2013. The investigation included 8 major factors: hiring, local training, transporting equipment, man hours, clean up, local inspection, walk though, and final inspection. The following shows the progress of job #33333 as of March 23, 2013.

Work Completed

The following is a report of work completed:

·  The hiring process was completed on March 10, 2013, without incident.

·  Local training was completed on March 15, 2013, without incident.

Work in Progress

The following is a report of work in progress:

·  Transporting equipment began on March 17, 2013. A minor incident, delayed the scheduled date of March 16, 2013. However, the transporting equipment is expected to be completed as scheduled on April 8, 2013.

·  Man hours began on March 16, 2013, as scheduled, without incident and is expected to be completed on April 22, 2013, as scheduled.

·  Clean-up is scheduled to expected to begin April 23, 2013, as scheduled and is expected to be completed on 30, 2013, as scheduled.

·  Local Inspection is scheduled to begin on May 2, 2013 and be completed on May 3, 2013, as scheduled.

·  Walk through is scheduled to begin on May 5 and be completed on May 6, 2013, as scheduled.

·  Final inspection is scheduled to begin on May 7, 2013 and be completed on May 9, 2013.

Comments

Regarding the incident of transporting equipment, although the equipment was ready to be loaded, the truck reserved for transporting equipment was not onsite as scheduled, on March 16, 2013. Therefore, the equipment could not be loaded until the next day, March 17, 2013. However, transporting equipment is expected to be completed as scheduled, April 8, 2013. No man hours were lost.
