The Potomac Chapter of NAVHDA welcomes new members and their dogs. The Chapter provides training sessions monthly from March through September where members assist each other in training their hunting dogs. We are fortunate to have several experienced dog trainers in the Chapter, and they are very willing to help you learn how to train your dog. At the present time, we conduct NAVHDA tests two times a year in April and September. We have been able to provide high quality tests due to excellent grounds available and hard working members. Training sessions and most tests are held at the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area, Seneca, MD located on River Road in western Montgomery County in Maryland. The Chapter has organizational meetings in February and June that are open to all members. After the Chapter test in September the fall is free of activities so that members can enjoy the hunting season. Many of our members are avid hunters and enjoy getting together to pursue their favorite wild game!

We would like to find out a little more information about the specific needs of our Chapter members. Please tell us about your dog(s); your hunting experiences with or without dogs; and your training/testing goals for the upcoming training year. What do you desire to achieve as a member of the Potomac Chapter of NAVHDA? Also feel free to provide us with any other information, suggestions, concerns, feedback, etc. that you think may help the Chapter.
