Re:MWI Test Department Responsibilities and Procedures
Dear Vendors and Agents:
MWI continues to extract testing away from the Technical Design area, and is placing it in the hands of our new testing team. Effective Tuesday, September 4th 2007 the testing category breakdown will be as follows:
- Endia Johnson: Responsible for:
Career Suiting – all divisions, including plus
Casual woven bottoms (jeans, pants, skirts, shorts, cropalls, overalls, shortalls) – all divisions, including plus
Casual and career woven tops – all divisions, including plus
Outerwear – all divisions
Dresses – all divisions
Pant sets / short sets – all divisions, including plus
- Gabrielle Mendez: Responsible for:
Casual and Career Knit tops – all divisions, including plus
Sleep and Nursing tops – all divisions, including plus
Swimwear – all divisions, including plus
Knit active wear – all divisions, including plus
Knit bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts), all divisions, including plus
- Sweaters and intimates (Maria Norman’s categories) will be extracted at a future date – all vendors and agents will be advised accordingly
- Pea in the Pod testing will remain with its respective Tech Designers (Valeria Capizzi and Sybil Hart) until further notice
- With the above changes we must ask that our vendors comply at all times to the MWI established testing program or face serious delays.
- All test packages must be sent to our Testing Team ready for closure, with all test reports and layouts attached or testing will be put on hold for the pending information.
- The test package turn time is 5 days from date received. This is identical to the MWI fit turn time established.
- Urgent testing will be processed within 48 hours. * All testing sent to the team cannot be urgent; T&A must be maintained as agreed upon. Excessive late testing will be brought to the attention of James Gardner and Rick Adleman for immediate resolution.
- Testing is now a complete electronic process; therefore all testing sent to the testing associates will be processed automatically and according to the above turn time.
- Effective immdiately the testing team will no not e-mail reminders to vendors / agents to pick up test package PDM postings. Vendors and Agents will be required to pick up the PDM postings within the established turn time. This is identical to the MWI fit posting process.
- URGENT TO NOTE: We are experiencing an extremely high volume of typos on care labels and missing or incomplete test packages to date. This issue is preventing efficient and on time care label closures. All Vendors and agents must double check all final test information and ensure there are no typos; missing reports; errors etc. or testing will be placed on hold.
Thank you
