Responsible for:
Team Leader will be responsible for day to day supervision of up to 12 probation serviceoffenders on different services in the same geographical and operational area.
Functional Links:
Post holder will communicate with Probation Service Probation Officers, SolutionsSK Managers and Supervisors, SMBC officers
Main Purpose of job:
To be responsible for the day to day supervision of offenders, ensuring that high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality are achieved.
To ensure all work tasks are completed on the scheduled day.
To manage operational staff ensuring that high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality are achieved.
To ensure that all appropriate paperwork is processed within timescales.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To monitor Health & Safety work practices of the workforce and report where necessary if Health & Safety practices are not adhered to. To ensure all staff are inducted and receive all necessary training required to carry out their duties safely.
  • To contribute to the achievement of the key objective for Environmental Services to deliver cleaner streets and less waste in the most efficient and effective way.
  • To supervise probation offenders to maximise performance and achieve planned objectives.To report any instances of a disciplinary natureor poor work performance to supervisors.
  • To ensure all probationers are motivated and equipped to fulfil the roles and responsibilities required of them.
  • To actively monitor the performance of the workforce and take action in relation to poor performance as necessary.
  • To ensure all probationers are properly inducted, supported, motivated, trained and equipped to fulfil the roles and responsibilities required of them. This includes the delivery of task talks according to schedules.
  • To ensure that operational delivery of the services meets with the requirements of the Service Level Agreements in place between the Company and its customers.
  • To follow up and deal with customer complaints in a professional manner and in line with the requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • To pick up and Transport probation service offenders from probation offices to worksite.
  • To contribute to the business planning process and to produce, monitor and report on such operational plans as are necessary to achieve the relevant objectives in the plan.
  • To contribute to the development, design and production of customer information and service promotion and to manage and supervise the distribution of these, as necessary.
  • To ensure that all tasks, customer enquiries and complaints within the post holder’s remit are completed and resolved in line with the appropriate policies and procedures and timescales within the Quality Management System and to report on the same, as required.

Resources:
The post holder will be responsible for the care of all items of vehicles plant and equipment supplied for their use, including communications equipment. There is no responsibility for cash items.
To work flexibly within the role and support the general activities within Environmental Services and Solutions SK. This will be on the basis of a standard 37 hour week spread flexibly across seven days as required in the interests of the service and in accordance with Solutions SK’s flexible working policies.
