BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHICH TAKETH THE SINS AWAY

Jesus the Sinless

On July 28 2003, I received an e-mail from saying that Jesus was leading an immoral life. The language of the e-mail was too bad to publish in my web site.

My first impulse on receipt of the message was to respond it with details of sexual immorality of Hindu gods and goddesses, gathered from Vedas and other writings. But I felt that my move would be un-productive and negative in nature. In fact, I did not want to write anything as for any ‘tit for tat’. I am serious that we are dealing with godly matters. It should not be considered as for any entertainment or play.

In my response I offered the Holy Bible to the mailer and requested him to read it and receive a revelation who He is. This situation prompted me to edit and send this article under the heading “Jesus the Sinless”. This article is intended to prove the divinity and sinlessness of Jesus.

Jesus the Living Word.

Jesus is not only God incarnate but also an historical person. Even Stalin who was an atheist, when he was writing a letter to the president of U.S.A, he would insert the date at the top of the letter with the year of the Lord Jesus Christ.

If Mahatma Gandhi is still alive he would have rebuked you for your statement such as “Did Jesus had sex with his mother”? Don’t you know that Gandhi became a Mahatma because he followed the teachings of Jesus. In his prayer meetings he always read the teachings of Jesus.

One day, when Jesus was moving among the Lawyers and other dignitaries of that day, he challenged them saying: “Which of you convinceth me of sin?(John 8:46). On another occasion he said: “Ye are from beneath, I am from above. Ye are of this world, I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins”. (John 8:23,24).

Jesus was confident that no one could find any fault with him. So he challenged those people who questioned him and doubted his divinity.

Joseph was not the Biological Father to Jesus.

If Joseph were to be his biological father, Jesus would have inherited a body of sin. Such a body would have gone to corruption and decay after death. But God reserved from time immemorial, a body, a sinless incorruptible one. In the book of Hebrews, we read:

“Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering

thou wouldest not but a body has thou prepared me (Hebrew 10:5-6) . In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, thou hast had no pleasure (v.7). Then said I, Lo,

I come(In the volume of the Book it is written of me) to do thy will,O, God”.

This refers to Psalm 40 which was written by King David 1000 years before the birth of Christ.

Supreme Sacrifice.

It was God’s prerogative to judge and cause an offender to suffer for his offense. According to God’s sight all that are born through Adamic lineage have fallen short of the glory of God. In other words: Sin entered into this world through one man and all his descendants are therefore reckoned as sinners. A fallen human being cannot redeem another fallen man. So God has kept a sinless incorruptible body which became a supreme sacrifice. That was the end of all animal sacrifices where innocent blood was shed according to the Old Testament Laws. When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son made of a woman, made under the law (v5) To redeem them that were under the laws that we might receive the adoption of sons.(Gal.4:4-5).

He who knows no Sin.

St. Paul, a great writer and disciple of a great teacher Gamaliel, was an eye witness of the resurrected Jesus. He wrote in his epistle to the Corinthians that Jesus was sinless.

In every book of the Bible (Total 66 Books) the resurrected Jesus is spoken of. The body of Jesus was no more found in the tomb. The Governor of the great Roman empire sealed the tomb on the burial day of Jesus. They set Roman soldiers to guard the tomb. But after 3days the stones were rolled away. Jesus rose leaving the tomb empty. This is historical fact indeed. St. Paul wrote: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”.(2nd Cor.5:21).

Prophecy on Virgin Birth.

Mary was the mother of Jesus. Approximately 700 years before his birth the prophets of the Bible declared:

“A virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” which means God with us. (Isaiah 7:14). The same prophet spoke again as follows:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace(v.7). Of the increase of

his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.(Is.9:6/7).

Prophecy on the City of Birth.

Even the name of the city of birth of Jesus was recorded by prophets of old. Jesus was supposed to be born in Nazareth but both Joseph and his espoused wife big with child Jesus had to go to the city of Bethlehem following a governmental decree that every one to go back to one’s ancestral city homes for the purpose of completing a census. This fulfilled the prophecy of Micah Chapter 5 verse 2. “But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler of Israel; whose going forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Miraculous Birth from Above.

Mary the mother of Jesus was a blessed lady waiting for the hope and redemption of God’s people. She was also born in the lineage of Adam and so she too needed a Savior.

There were many handmaidens of God in Israel but God chose her to be a vessel for his

Son to come into this world. When she received Gabriel’s salutation she wondered what manner of it might be? She was told that she would bring forth a son and call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins. She was told that he should be called the Son of the Highest. She had her doubt as to how this would happen seeing that she knew not a man? The angel replied that the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee: Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Mary’s response was spontaneous. “Behold the handmaiden of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word”. Momentarily the body which was set apart in heaven took its position in the womb of Mary and the Word was made flesh and began to dwell among us. Mary sang later calling Jesus as her Savior:

“My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God

my Savior” (Luke 1:46/47)

Holiness was the watchword in all the teachings of Jesus. I wonder how then people dare to speak against the so called sexual immorality of Jesus! He healed the sick, raised the dead, fed the hungry, cast out demon and preached the kingdom of God to the poor.

The Governor found no Fault in Jesus.

The Priests could not prove anything wrong with Jesus. The Law- makers, the Sanhedrin found nothing amiss in him. The Roman Governor pronounced: “I find no fault with him”. King Herod found no fault in him. Even the wind and the storm did obey him. During the first coming he redeemed humanity from their sins. But in His second coming he shall be the ruler, king of kings and Lord of Lords sitting on the throne of David reigning the whole nations of the world.

Jesus is Alpha & Omega(Beginning & End)

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among men. He came to his own, his own (JEWS) received him not. But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God even them that believe on his name.( John 1:9,11,12) In verse 14 we read: “And the word was made flesh(body) and dwelt among us, ( and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The purpose of writing this note is to convince you that Jesus was sinless. He knew no sin. He was not a carnal person. In Hebrew 4:15 we read:-

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling

of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.. He could have legions of angels to fight for him on instant notice but he did not seek deliverance. Here we can see how God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. He humbled himself, suffered and died for my sake and for humanity sake. If we are prepared to confess our sins, he is just to forgive us from all unrighteousness. He shed his last drop of blood for our healing and to redeem us from damnation. Don’t you dare to speak bad against this Just man Christ Jesus. There is only one mediator between man and God. He is Christ Jesus.

He left all his glory and power in heaven and became a complete man passing through temptations and humiliation. Justice was undone. HE sought no defense or escape from capital punishment. A true description of my Jesus is as follows:

  1. He did not hold on to the position of equality with God
  2. He made himself of no reputation
  3. He took upon him the form of a servant
  4. He was made in the likeness of man.
  5. Being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself
  6. He became obedient unto death even the death of the cross.(Phil 2:5-8)

Result. (Phil.2:9-11)

See verse 9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. (v.10)That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth(v11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

P.S For the E-Mailer

I have a lot more to write. But you may not be able to comprehend all at once. Let us go step by step. I am very proud that I am born in India which produced people like Pandit Ramabhai and Sadhu Sundar Singh who proved that Christianity is not a Western religion. Ramabhai could learn by heart all the RgVedas at the age of eight. But when she met Jesus it made all the difference. You say Christianity is a cult based on racism and red-necks. Sir, real Christianity is not that the one you see. It is a person’s personal relationship to the creator God. God is love. When the word of God says: God so loved the world it does not mean that he loved only the Westerners, but all mankind upon the whole world. Cults are not free. They make mankind slaves to unrighteousness. But we are free. A member of a cult has no freedom. If you try to escape, the cult leader may even shoot the escapee. If the Son of God therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
