Welcome to our 33rd Annual Flower and Produce Show.

Last year had, in our terms, a modest show reflecting the difficult growing conditions. However, entries in some classes remained high. Once again we have experienced exceptional, early season, adverse weather conditions for growers.

At the end of last year several of the committee felt that they had been stretched in helping to provide the show that Villagers have come to expect. As a result of requests put out, I am pleased to report that a number of people have come forward to offer suggestions and help on the day. I would like to move aside as Chairman, having been on the committee since the show started in 1979. We are still looking for someone who can join the committee and possibly take over this role.

We welcome the interest shown by the Wilstaed Children’s Centre. As a result we have increased the number of entries in the 5 years and under category. We hope that lots of Mums and Dads will encourage their young children to take part in the show this year.

The annual Flower and Produce Show remains a popular event on the Village calendar and with your continued support and involvement we hope to see it continuing for many more years.

It remains for me to thank the Committee, once again, for their contributions to what we hope will be another successful show.
