Subject:SERFF Board Industry Property and Casualty Member Candidate Search

The SERFF Board is soliciting member candidates from SERFF-licensed companies who would like tobe considered an Industry Representative Board Member for a three year term for a Property and Casualty member representative term becoming available on January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2013. Pursuant to the bylaws, the Board is seeking a maximum ofone candidate from eligible companies.

The candidate should be knowledgeable about SERFF and the insurance industry in general. SERFF Board members have oversight responsibility for SERFFand should commit to participating in monthly conference calls, be able to travel to attend Board meetings at the NAIC National Meetings, and participate in other Board activities such as seminars for the industry and the annual E-Regulation Conference held in Kansas City.

A nominating committee has been appointed by the Board to review the qualifications of the candidates submitted. The Nominating Committee will develop a slate of nominees from these candidates to present to the SERFF industry users later this year. All elections are subject to ratification by the NAIC Executive Committee. Due to current membership on the Board, nominees from the following companies will not be considered for this open position: TransAmerica, ACE, and Prudential.

Should your company wish to provide the SERFF Board Nominating Committee with an industry representative board member candidate for consideration, please complete the candidate information sheet and recommending authority request found on the following pages. Additionally, please provide the name of the individual with recommending authority, along with the information specified in the second block (page 3).

The SERFF Board appreciates your assistance in the selection process. Please respond by Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Late responses will not be considered.
