On behalf of the International Kempo Federation we are pleased and

honored to invite you to the IKF 11th World Kempo/KenpoChampionships in the beautiful city of Budapest-Hungary, during 24nd~ 26th. April. 2014 ( only for experienced 16-39+years old fighters)

By this ocassion, will be also organized the 11th IKF World Kempo/Kenpo

Cup ( only for 10-15 years old fighters).

The 11th IKF World Kempo Championships 2014 will offer good

opportunities to your strong teams to represent proudly your country, your

fighters having one of the best opportunites to prove their skills by

competing in the Fighting Kempo divisions as well as in the Traditional

Kempo divisions against one of the finest Kempo/Kenpo practicioners in

the world.

In the following pages, you can find all the main informations about this

up-coming event and how to get there.

Hoping that togheter we’ll make one of the greatest World Kempo/Kenpo

Championships in 2014.

HOW TO ATTEND ?

In order to compete in the 11th IKF World Kempo/Kenpo Championships 2014or/and

in the IKF 11th World Kempo/Kenpo Cup, you must respect strictly the followings:

Step 1 – Becoming an IKF member:

You must be or become an IKF member by one of the following ways:

- Full-Member ( You are a national Kempo/Kenpo federation recognized and sustained by the

National Olympic Committee or/and National Sport Authority).

- Affiliated Member ( You are a national Kempo/Kenpo federation being not recognized by the

National Olympic Committee or/and National Sport Authority, but you are legal in front of your

country’s laws and you already attended for 3 years consecutive the IKF events. By having this

status you can attend all IKF events but you must note in this case 2 or more teams from your

country can be invited and can participate, of course under only one flag/country. The only way to

avoid this situation, for remaining the only team invited from your country is to bring in this sport

event at least 20 competitors ).

- Associated Member ( You are legal in front of your country’s laws as a sport combat

club/association/organization, and you want to represent your country in the IKF events .

By having this status you can attend all IKF events but you must note in this case 2 or more teams

from your country can be invited and can participate, of course under only one flag/country. The

only way to avoid this situation, for remaining the only team invited from your country, is to

bring in this sport event at least 25 competitors ).

Step 2 – Sending official documents:

All members (Full-Members, Affiliated Members and Associated Members) who didn’t

do it untill now, must send urgent to IKF, by e-mail and also by post-mail, all the

documents legalized/notarized you consider necessary to prove your club/association or

federation is legal in front of your country laws.

( Ex: statue,constitution, logo, ID certificate or similar,registation number, official adress

of organization, e-mail, website, photo of president....).

The IKF World Kempo Championships 2014.

AGE & WEIGHT CATEGORIES:

* 16-18 years old (Juniors, 16 and 17 years old)

Weight categories female: -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg, +60 kg

Weight categories male: -55 kg, -60 kg, -65 kg, -70 kg, -75 kg, -80 kg, +80 kg

* 18 - 38 years old (Seniors,18 untill 38 years old)

Weight categories female: -50 kg, -55 kg, - 60 kg, -65 kg, +65 kg

Weight categories male: -60 kg, -65 kg, -70 kg, -75 kg, -80 kg, -85 kg , -90 kg , -95kg , +95 kg

* +38 years old (Senior Masters, over 38 years old)

Weight categories female : -57,5 kg, 62.5 kg, + 62,5 kg

Weight categories male : - 67,5 kg, -72.5 kg , -82.5 kg , -92.5 kg , +92.5 kg

DIVISIONS (RULES):

In the 11th IKF World Kempo Championships 2014 will be organized Traditional

Kempo and Fighting Kempo divisions, as follows:

TRADITIONAL KEMPO :

* Kata (individual - Female divisions, Male divisions)

* Weapon Kata (individual - Female divisions, Male divisions)

* Self-Defense Combat (1 against 1, Female teams, Male teams, Mix teams)

Note : In each Traditional Kempo division just 2 competitors/country or just 2 teams/country will be allowed . In each division ,one name can appear just in one team.

FIGHTING KEMPO :

* Semi-Kempo ( stand-up fighting / touchpointed system )

* Full-Kempo (full-contact stand-up fighting mixed with groundfighting no strikes,

wearing boxing gloves)

* Knockdown ( full-contact stand-up fighting and groundfighting/ empty hands / is not

allowed punches to the head , but is allowed punches/knees/elbows to the body in thegroundfighting)

* Kempo-Submission ( throws,immobilizations, locks. No strikes is allowed )

Note : In each division just 2 competitors/country/category will be allowed

For organiser 3 competitors/ categorycan start

One fighter can compete just in 3 fighting kempo divisions from 4.

Attention !!!:

- The weight category who will have competitors from less than 3 countries will be

merged in the next one directly, without being need by their team leaders approval.

-On Friday from the semi contact and knock down numbers the competitors can start only in one !

IKF World Kempo Cup 2014

AGE CATEGORIES

10 – 12 years old (10 and 11 years old)

12 – 14 years old (12 and 13 years old)

14 – 16 years old (14 and 15 years old)

Note: The registration will be made by computer coming from date of the birth.

There is no entry headcount conclusion int he divisions.

WEIGHT CATEGORIES:

-30 kg, -35 kg,-40 kg, -45 kg , -50 kg , -55 kg , -60 kg , -65 kg , -70 kg , -75 kg, -80 kg, -85 kg, -90 kg, -95 kg, + 95 kg.

Note: a category must have at least competitors from 3 countries in order to be

organized. If there are less than 3 countries fighters will be merged with the

immediately next one, but the difference between them must be not more than 10 kg .

DIVISIONS:

In the 11th IKF World Kempo Cup 2014 will be organized Traditional Kempo and

Fighting Kempo divisions, as follows:

TRADITIONAL KEMPO :

* Kata ( individual, Female divisions, Male divisions)

* Weapon Kata (individual Female divisions, Male divisions)

* Self-Defense Combat (1 against 1, open teams – the age and the gender inside of the

team, it doesn’t matter )

Note : In the IKF World Traditional Kempo Cup 2014, a country can register any

number of competitors/division/category. In Self-Defense Combat one name can appear

just once, in just one team.

FIGHTING KEMPO :

* Semi-Kempo ( stand-up fighting / touchpointed system )

* Full-Kempo (full-contact stand-up fighting mixed with groundfighting no strikes,

wearing boxing gloves)

* Kempo-Submission ( throws,immobilizations, locks. No strikes is allowed ).

Note 1 : A country can register any number of competitors/division/category.

Note 2 : A competitor who compete in the World Cup cannot compete in the World

Championships and reverse.

GENERAL RULES OF ORGANIZING

REFEREES & JUDGES

- In order to act as an referee in the IKF competitions your candidate must belicensed and authorized by the IKF Chairmen of Referees (Mr. RazvanVovcenco for Fighting Kempo and Mr. Duyster for Traditional Kempo ), afterattending the official referees and judges course .

- Each country must bring inside of the WKC-2014 at least one referee .

Note: The countries who will not bring inside at least 1 authorized referees will have no right to

contest the referees/judges decisions during the tournament.

UNIFORM

- Kimono : WHITE PANTS, BLACK GI JACKET, RED BELT

Just when on the blue corner competitors will wear blue belts. During the whole WKC-2014 (opening ceremony, staying and waiting their turn, competing, being awarded ....),all the competitors must wear the official IKF uniform:WHITE PANTS, BLACK GI JACKET, RED BELT.

On the Gi jacket and on the pants can be putted the patch/logo of the nationalorganization, stripes with the national flag colours or/and the IKF patch without anyrestrictions.

Note: Absolutely ALL COMPETITORS must come at the weigh check-in and must stay in the

line at the opening ceremony wearing official IKF uniform required.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

- Red and blue belts.

- Boxing gloves 10 oz., Red/Blue ( Semi-Kempo, Full-Kempo)

- MMA gloves ( mandatory in Knock Down Kempo)

- Shinguards ( mandatory in all divisions )

- Mouthguard (mandatory in all divisions where is not headgear with mask,excepting Submission Kempo)

- Headgear Red/Blue, without mask (mandatory for “ over 16” years oldcompetitors in all divisions where using gloves).

- Headgear red/blue with mask (mandatory for “under 16” years old in alldivisions where using gloves).

- Body protection (vests) for “under 16” years old competitors.

- Groin protection for men (mandatory in all divisions)

- Chest protection for women (mandatory in all divisions )

Note: The organizer will put at disposal at the ring : boxing gloves, MMA gloves, shinguards,

blue belts.You can use your own protective equipment just with the approval of the IKF.
