SUBJECT:Revised Facts About the Child Support Program for K-TAP and Kinship Care Recipients (Form CS-333), Facts About the Right to Claim Good Cause (Form CS-333.1) and Procedural Instructions

The revised CS-333 and CS-333.1 and their procedural instructions have been added to the Division of Child Support’s Intranet Web site.

References to Cabinet for Families and Children (CFC) have been removed and changed to Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) due to the recent reorganization of state government.

The CS-333 andCS-333.1have been revised to update the language and format and to include the following statement about the lack of a client/attorney relationship: “I understand and acknowledge that any CHFS attorney to whom I am referred will assist me, but is not my personal attorney and will not represent me in any legal matter because of his or her obligation to provide legal services to and for CHFS and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.” The Procedural Instructions have been revised to update the format.

The “Children First” logo was removed in accordance with the CHFS Secretary’s instructions and the “Kentucky Unbridled Spirit” logo added.

Removed the term “noncustodial parent or obligor” and replaced it with “noncustodial parent” per Child Support Memorandum No. 30.

This transmittal letter is to be saved and filed for future reference as it explains changes that have been made to the Prosecutors’ Handbook, Manual of Forms and the Kentucky Child Support Forms.

The Prosecutors’ Handbook, Manual of Forms, and Child Support Forms are to be updated as shown on page two.
