1. Are there expected energy performance minimums for each facility?
A. Minimum expected performance would be the direct replacement option. Bids for more energy efficient equipment will be accepted as an alternate. Please provide details on the increased performance in comparison to the direct replacement.
2. Per each chiller replacement, what are the chilled water and condenser water temperature operating conditions?
A. Chilled water should be 44-54° and condenser water should be 90° maximum.
3. Under substitutions c. referring to a refrigerant-cooled motor. Are open air-cooled motors acceptable?
A. As an alternate bid, yes.
4. Is Standard 3/4” insulation acceptable?
A. Yes.
5. We recommend a Harmonic filter. Should it be included?
A. Yes, include in the total price for the equipment. Please attach details and reference the included addition.
6. What is the maximum water pressure drop for both the cooler and condenser barrels?
A. Please defer to the manufacturers’ recommendations. We will have a 3rd party review the recommendations after bids are submitted.
7. Is there a recommended entering/leaving cooler and entering/leaving condenser?
A. See answer to #2- Chilled water should be 44-54° and condenser water should be 90° maximum.
8. The actual chiller model # PFH050 does not match the bidding documents model # of WDC050J. Please verify the tons capacity of the Maple Woods chiller.
A. Model# PFH050 is correct.
9. We did not notice a leak sensor at the Maple Woods location. Will installation of a sensor be required at this location?
A. Yes, please include the leak sensor in the scope.
10. May I see the sign in sheet for this week’s walk-throughs?
