From 95 South, take exit 12B. Bear left at fork, onto
113 West. CCRI campus will be a left turn at light.
From 95 North, take exit 11 to get on Interstate 295. Take the first exit
(exit 1) to 113 West. Bear left, CCRI campus will be a left turn at light.
On campus, proceed to top of hill. Watch for yellow bordered signs for easy parking.
CCRI staff, wearing yellow badges, will direct you once inside the college.

Brett Leimkuhler, Ph.D.

Clinical Neurologist

Dr. Leimkuhler specializes in the evaluation and diagnosis of learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adults and adolescents. It was as a clinical faculty member of Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts and Harvard Medical Center, Cambridge, Massa-chusetts that Dr. Leimkuhler developed an interest in learning disorders. He later founded the Center for Neuropsychology and Learning Disorders in Providence, Rhode Island. The Center specializes in difficult to diagnose cases and provides comprehensive assessments for adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Leimkuhler has written numerous professional articles and lectured widely to both professional and lay audiences on topics relating to learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Robin Schwarz, MSpED

ESOL/LD Teacher, Tutor and Private Consultant, Curry College, MA

Robin Schwarz is currently a doctoral candidate in ESOL/LD at Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition, she advises students with learning disabilities in the Program for the Advancement of Learning at Curry College. She is a tutor and private consultant on ESOL/LD for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities and the System for Adult Basic Education Support, both of which are programs funded by the State of Massachusetts. Prior to coming to Massachusetts, Robin taught ESOL at American University, and the Lab School in Washington DC, which is highly acclaimed for services to and success with students with Learning Disabilities.

Shelley R. Jackson, J.D.

Senior Civil Rights Analyst, Office for Civil Rights, Washington, DC

Shelley R. Jackson is Senior Civil Rights Analyst with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), US Dept. of Health and Human Services. Shelley’s principal area of responsibility at OCR is disability policy, including involvement in OCR activities to enforce Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. She is involved in efforts to ensure the disability-related work of OCR’s ten regional offices in carrying out disability-related enforcement, technical assistance and outreach activities. Prior to joining OCR, Shelley was a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the US Dept. of Justice, where she investigated and litigated cases concerning the civil rights of individuals confined in public mental retardation facilities, psychiatric hospitals and juvenile facilities. Shelley has also worked at the Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law in Washington, DC, the Juvenile & Special Education Clinic of the District of Columbia School of Law, and the Center for Law and Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Boston University and the University of Virginia School of Law.

Ruth Bourquin, J.D.

Attorney, Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, Boston, MA

Ruth Bourquin is an attorney at the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, Boston, specializing in issues affecting low-income families in need of public assistance. Ruth represented the named plaintiffs/complainants in the case that led to the January 2001 ruling by the Office of Civil Rights of the United States Department of Health and Human Services that the Massachusetts TANF agency was failing to adequately address the needs of TANF recipients with learning disabilities. Ruth is a 1982 graduate of Harvard Law School and, prior to coming to the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, practiced in both the private and public sectors, including serving as Assistant Attorney General for Massachusetts and was a partner in a Boston labor & employment law firm.
