Re: Last Week of School Dismissal Times

Date: 2/26/14

During the last week of school, high schools will follow a final exam schedule as they did last year. On June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, school will begin at the regularly scheduled time and students will be dismissed early. The times for dismissal are in the last column on the Commencement Schedule chart below. Alternative schools will not dismiss early. Dismissal for the last day, June 6th, will be addressed via a separate memorandum that will include dismissal times for elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as alternative schools.

The final exam schedule provides as an academic focus through the last day of school and provides faculty and underclassmen the opportunity to attend graduations scheduled for early afternoon. The last final exam for underclassman should be scheduled for June 5 (day before the last day of school). The last day of school, June 6th, should be designated as a final exam make-up day.

Transportation has been arranged to be at your school when school dismisses each day of final exam week. If you have any questions about transportation, please contact Leslee Russell directly.

Please also note that the last day of school for Seniors will be May 22th. Senior activities should be held beginning May 23th through May 30th. Schools should submit a list of activities to their Region Chief prior to May1st. The Senior Timeline chart can be found below.

Note: Students assigned to an ATOSS Center during June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and/or 6th will be dismissed at the time of the corresponding high school.
