Application Information Sheet

Complete the FAFSA application online at www.FAFSA.gov.

You can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at any time during the admissions process, either before or after completing an application to an eligible program. To complete an application to a program, please visit www.ntc.edu and click apply now.

Click Start a New FAFSA if first time, Login if returning user.

If you do not have a PIN, apply for one at www.pin.ed.gov.

Dependent Students (under 24 years old): Parent and student must sign with their unique PIN.

Independent Students (24 years or older): If under 24, a student may be considered independent if married or other criteria are met. Determined based on FAFSA responses.

Under the Financial Information tab, it is highly recommended that students and parents use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import their tax information, if eligible.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

NTC ONECARD Students will receive the NTC OneCard after they have been accepted into an eligible program and NTC has received their FAFSA. A refund selection must be made by visiting www.ntconecard.com.

VERIFICATION PROCESS If your FAFSA is selected for a review process called "Verification” or requires other documentation, be sure to complete and submit all necessary documentation as soon as possible. Financial aid will not be processed until all documents are received and reviewed.

AWARD NOTIFICATION

Once you are 1) accepted into an eligible program, 2) enrolled in classes, 3) all necessary documentation has been submitted, and 4) the Financial Aid Office has reviewed everything, you are ready for awarding.

When your financial aid awards are posted, an award notification will be sent to your NTC email address. This will explain how to view and accept your awards via your myNTC account.

TEXTBOOKS

If you have accepted enough aid to cover tuition costs, there may be additional funds to use toward textbooks. The Book Voucher is an electronic tool available to those students with excess pending aid.

·  Log into MyNTC

·  Click FINANCES tab

·  Click REQUEST BOOK VOUCHER

·  Terms and conditions will appear, click OK

·  Check boxes ‘Request Voucher’ and ‘I have read and agree to terms’

·  Click GENERATE BOOK VOUCHER
