Reports To: University Center Warhawk Alley Graduate Assistant

Hours per week: Approximately 10-15 hours weekly; nights and weekends required

High Impact Practice –By incorporating classroom learning into hands-on work experiences as well as providing supervision and coaching, students gain the necessary tools to grow and contribute as professionals. This engagement leads to increased rates of retention, graduation, and job placement.

Position Summary

The Warhawk Alley League Coordinatoris responsible forstrategicmarketing and programminginitiatives as well as evaluation. The League Coordinator is stationed as a front desk attendant or pin chaser in addition and is expected to be knowledgeable in all functions of Warhawk Alley. They provide strong customer service by always putting customers’ immediate needs first and continuously improving programs. The League Coordinator ensures events are safe, enjoyable, quality experiences. This position requiresleadership skills including, communication, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity. The Warhawk Alley League Coordinator reports directly to the Warhawk Alley Graduate Assistant and Warhawk Alley Coordinator.

Tasks (and Corresponding LEAP Essential Learning Outcomes)

Intellectual and Practical Skills

  • Responsible for weekly league standing reports via email and in-person
  • Operatescomputerized scoring system and problem solves to fix common lane machine issues
  • Completestasks as assigned by Warhawk Alley Student Managers, Warhawk Alley Graduate Assistant, and Warhawk Alley Coordinator

Personal and Social Responsibility

  • Trains and regularly updates the student lead if they cannot attend a league night
  • Works with all customers, bowling teams, classes and reservations to meet needs and expectations
  • Communicates clearly with managers and graduate assistant on issues that arise during scheduled shifts
  • Records shift notes and lane issues on the shift log and on OneNote for all staff to read
  • Maintains and updates all social media outlets to promoteleagues
  • Provide regular updates to staff at monthly staff meetings and trainings

Integrative and Applied Learning

  • Serves as primary coordinator forstudent and staff league initiatives
  • Facilitates Nooners League and Student Leagues
  • Plans recognition award program for all leagues
  • Assists in promoting daily specials, tournaments, leagues, trivia nights, special events, and pass sales
  • Available to address all league questions or concerns as they arise
  • Generatecustomer satisfaction surveys

Knowledge of Human Cultures and the Physical and Natural World

  • Services diverse customer clientele and a variety of campus and community stakeholders
  • Attends monthly staff meetings for Warhawk Alley
  • Attends weekly programming meetings with Warhawk Alley coordinator, graduate assistant, tournament coordinator, and trivia program lead
  • Attends student leadership meetings and TRACK events for professional development as schedule allows
  • Reviews and adjusts programs based on continuous evaluation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a registered UW-Whitewater student and enrolled at least half-time
  • Must have at least one semester of employment at Warhawk Alley to be considered for this position
  • Must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0
