TLC Sponsorship and Events Coordinator

  • FT- 40 hours per week or as necessitated by a particular project or event. Working arrangements are flexible, including working from home, community outreach, and face time in the office.
  • Salary and Benefits Package negotiable commensurate with experience.
  • Reports to Executive Director and works in conjunction with Development and Fundraising Committee to establish and meet yearly fundraising budget goals through sponsorships, business memberships, TLC annual events and various outreach events with local partners.

Duties

  • Secure Sponsorship/Event Coordination:
  1. Winter- Solstice, Winter Event and Wild & Scenic Festival
  2. Spring- SWP Trail Run
  3. Summer- Solstice and Dog Days of Summer
  4. Fall- Thank you Outreach
  5. Miscellaneous Outreach Events and Partnerships throughout the year- e.g., Dine out for Conservation, Whole Foods, Terrain, Nourish, Victory Brewing Company, Half Moon, etc.
  6. Continue establishing relationships and recruiting new sponsorships, auction items, in-kind donations for all TLC events/outreach throughout the year
  7. Engage with businesses and organizations for new fundraising opportunities and TLC events/outreach
  8. Assist in the assembly of Event Committee Teams and set timeline and project list in conjunction with each specific Event Committee Team as required to ensure smooth operation of events
  9. Oversee outreach and promotion for all TLC events/outreach and Partnerships
  10. Work with graphics person to design outreach materials as approved
  11. Continually update sponsorship and business member packets, schedule face to face meetings to secure sponsorships
  • Business Membership Outreach:
  1. Recruit local businesses for memberships
  2. Secure ongoing support also for 10% for TLC memberships
  3. Promote Business Members through website and social media and work with members to create unique opportunities for TLC Members.
  • Serve As Goodwill Ambassador for TLC

1. Attend events to outreach for new businesses, to secure sponsors, members and potential partners/new and continuing opportunities for TLC.

2. Adequately promote all upcoming TLC events/outreach and Partnerships and follow up post-event

3. Submit and update Sponsorship content for website, Constant Contact and Social Media

4. Ensure follow up with all sponsors, business members committee members and various volunteers so that all feel appreciated and valued for their contribution to TLC

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree and/or 3-5 years proven experience in sales, marketing, public relations and/or development
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple event projects simultaneously
  • Confidence to present the TLC mission to corporations, local businesses, public and private funding agencies, foundations and the general public with energy and clarity through both verbal and written communication
  • Enthusiasm, a good sense of humor, and a passion for the TLC mission
  • Desire to be part of a small vibrant non-profit team

SKILLS:

  • Excellent Communicator and Self Starter
  • Exceptional Committee/Volunteer Organizer
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, and Excel programs or Mac equivalent
  • Internet-savvy, able to conduct research and update website/blog, and social media submissions
  • Highly Organized Prioritize time and tasks
  • Ability to create and adhere to project budgets
