If the same author orthe same year of publication are cited in more than one source, it is necessary to distinguish between the different sources both in the text and in the references through a letter “a” added to the year of publication of the first cited source, a letter “b” added to the second and so on (i.e. Smith 2020a, Smith 2020b).
