Title: Honesty with God

Key texts:Luke 8:15; 16:10; Genesis 22:1-12; Nehemiah 13; Luke 11:42; Hebrews 7:2-10.

Themes to Explore:

  1. Just as a steward must above all be honest and faithful to his superior, so each of us must be to God.
  2. Being honest with God means accepting that He is the owner of all, the giver of life, the One who sets the rules.
  3. Faithfulness in the giving of tithe is one of the principles taught throughout the Bible; it teaches faithfulness, respect towards God and economy.

Know:Recognize that being honest with God produces awareness of integrity and develops a life of faithfulness.

Feel:Experience internal freedom: the fruit of an honest heart and an awareness of being with God.

Do:Determine to be faithful in tithes and offerings.
