Title:Facilities Operative with Cleaning Duties

Department:Corporate Services

Reports to:Head of Corporative Services

Main function:To assist the Corporate Services Team in the effective and efficient management of the Inspire Wellbeing Central Office location of Lombard House and to maintain and manage the up keep of the property providing the highest possible standard of support to management in line with Inspire Wellbeing’s strategy. This post with Inspire is designed to meet the demands of delivering quality services within a dynamic working environment.

Main duties and responsibilities are to:

A. Cleaning

  1. To ensure Lombard House is a pleasant environment for all staff, leaseholders and visitors.
  2. To clean the work areas within the building to a high standard including all bathrooms, meeting rooms, offices and kitchen areas.
  3. To dispose of refuse.
  4. To empty dishwashers and ensure general tidiness of kitchen areas.
  5. To store cleaning materials in a safe manner and order these as required.
  6. To maintain environment; deep clean carpeted and non-carpeted areas, soft furnishings; fixtures and fittings; windows and walls; maintain storage areas.
  7. Vacuuming carpets in work areas and communal staircase.
  8. Cleaning the building exterior as and when required.

B. Facilities Servicing

  1. To have the ability to multi task and to engage in manual labour such as moving and setting up tables.
  2. To report maintenance issues to the Corporate Services Manager in a timely manner.
  3. Actively engage in facilities set up depending on the business needs.
  4. Preparing rooms for meetings, events and conferences including room preparation and ensuring all tea/coffee and food is available for attendees.
  5. Assist the Head of Corporate Services in ensuring security of the building is effective, efficient and monitored.
  6. To liaise with external contractors.
  7. Assist in the monitoring of closed circuit television (CCTV) and report any acts of crime or vandalism.
  8. Accepting deliveries and routing mail within the building. Including lifting and carrying where required.
  9. Monitoring the air conditioning and heating levels in the building.
  10. Have the ability to work well with other members of the team and assist in the training of new staff if necessary.
  11. Assist the Head of Corporate Services in all mandatory weekly, monthly, annual testing of systems including fire alarms, security, Legionella flushing regime.

C. Front of House Duties

  1. In order to ensure and maintain a welcoming environment for staff and customers, the post holder will be required to undertake Front of House duties as and when required.

D. General

  1. Members of staff are expected to treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.
  2. Staff are expected to demonstrate their commitment to Inspire by their regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them.
  3. All staff must comply with the Smoke Free Policy and associated procedures.
  4. All Staff must take care of their own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what they do (or do not do).
  5. All staff must co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for their health, safety or welfare.
  6. All staff must follow the training they have received when using any work items their employer has given them.
