New International Master’s Programme in Music Management
Danube University Krems offers scholarships for international students

Krems (kpr). Danube University Krems, Austria, invites international candidates to apply for scholarships for the new international Master’s programme “Music Management”, starting in October 2015. The part-time course programme is open for musicians of any genre and for music professionals of all fields in the music industry and sets new standards in terms of professionalising global music managers. In the spirit of helping young managers develop their careers, international candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for the programme and the scholarship. The application is now open!

MA in Music Management – Professionalising Global Music Managers

During the five semesters of the part-time study programme (120 ECTS), students will benefit from course content particularly designed for future music managers in the international business, a combination of residential and online lectures taught completely in English, practical training concepts as well as direct networking with companies in the international music industry. The curriculum involves areas such as Music Management and Music Business, Music and Media, General Management and Music Theory to Music and Entertainment Law. Insights into operations and decision making processes of international companies will create valuable and relevant experience for future career paths. Faculty members and lecturers have sound practical and international backgrounds, including Andrew Armour (Benchstone Ltd., UK), Prof. Reynaldo Sanchez (University of Miami, USA), Petra Hinterholzer (Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg, AT), René Renner (Feraltone, UK), etc.

With this new postgraduate Master’s programme, the Center for Contemporary Music at Danube University Krems builds on 10 years of experience with approved concepts in higher music management education and international music business. The programme has been specifically designed to respond to drastic changes of the international music market and to develop management careers that integrate artistic, economic and managerial capacity. Partial Scholarships for International Students

The Center for Contemporary Music (in cooperation with sponsors) will support international students of the new “Music Management” Master’s programme with partial scholarships. The application is now open! Interested students or applicants are welcome to join a free online lecture of our “MUSIC MANAGEMENT Think Thank Series” to hear from experts about current global music management trends and challenges. Experts will be available online to respond to individual questions related to applications and scholarships.
