Time to Renew Your Membership!

Dear Friends and Members of FRP-BC,
It is membership renewal season at the BC Association of Family Resource Programs. As a member of FRP-BC, you join a network of programs that support families with young children. Please make membership a priority for 2016-17.
We are proud of how much we accomplished in the past year, and we are planning to build on that momentum for the upcoming year!
Our “Documenting the Difference” project, part of our larger communications and positioning strategy, seeks to capture relevant and compelling information about the programs and services offered by FRP’s across the province. Our members’ stories of success and innovation will enable us to build the FRP brand and advocate for this program area to government, funders, and the broader community. As part of this project we will be surveying our members for information and stories about their programs; we encourage our members to help uswith this by completing the survey and providing feedback!
The provincial Standards of Practice will support another cohort of programs to be recognized for the exemplary work that they do.
We will continue to provide training and information sessions to our members. In our efforts to support programs across the province access our training, we will be continuing to post training videos online and host online webinars. We encourage you to watch our website for training updates.
This year we are also collaborating with the provincial government to conduct a review of the Strong Start program. This promises to be an interesting project. The collaboration is still in the early stages, but we are excited to continuing to ensure that our programs are given credit for the important role they play in the community. As the details of this review are clarified, we will keep our membership informed.
These are just a few of the exciting things ahead for FRP-BC. Your membership gives you access to our services as well as gives us the support to continue this important work on behalf of families and the programs that serve them. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
