North Central High School Women’s Soccer Tryouts

Tryout info

- Dates: August 1-3, 2016

- Time: from 4:00 to 6:00 PM

- Place: All athletes will meet at the locker rooms (South of the football stadium)

- What to bring: Soccer shoes, shin-guards and a water bottle – Be dressed for soccer

- Transportation: There will be no bus for the first two days

- -REQUIREMENTS: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR COMPLETED PHYSICAL PACKET ON FILE WITH THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT. Coaches should not and will not accept directly your forms.

We will have the following activities over three days. At the conclusion of the third day, we will issue three rosters: Varsity, Junior-Varsity and C-Team. Some players may be “double-rostered”. In that case, the first team by their name will be their home team, but they may be called up or down to play with the other team. For example, Paris Hilton C-team/JV means Paris Hilton is on the C-team but may be called up to practice or play with JV as needed. We do this to encourage players to stay competitive. We want to avoid having a player on an upper team the entire season without a lot of playtime. Ask me if you need more clarification.

C-team: This team is composed of freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The plan is to see these players move up to JV and/or Varsity in the short or long run. Development in all aspect of the game is the key target.

Junior-Varsity: This team is open to freshmen, sophomores and juniors. It is the gateway to Varsity. Development and competitiveness are targeted.

Varsity: Physical, technical and tactical readiness is instrumental. This is the most competitive team. BY school policy, seniors who do not make varsity WILL BE CUT.

Note: Except for seniors, any player may be moved down or up during the season depending on their performance and commitment or lack thereof.

Players or their siblings who are interested in being managers, can contact me for further details.
