Bookings/Appointments

Home Visits - high workload at this practice. A minimum of 5 per GP per week.

District Nurses – based at Chalfont – R Bagg charity link to the trusts. Sensitive to patient needs. The surgery will refer to 'Prevention Matters' Lucy who supports vulnerable patients.

Appointments – online access/telephone access

Unsure what the actual system is

From time to time to change the system. There is never a perfect system. Telephone triage was successful to a degree. New doctors found the telephone system not easy.

Jan 1 2017 – some online, some prebookable, access to nursing appointments. Not a perfect system. Making an appointment to far ahead has increased the numbers who have failed to attend a booked appointment. Problems on the getting through on the telephone is an ongoing hurdle. Receptionists asking the reason for the appointment enables the team to book with the most appropriate clinician. Peak attendances during the winter.

How many of our % of our patients would book appointments on line?

Appropriateness of what clinics patients book into with what conditions.
