Sorrento F & N Club

Glossy’sNotes

The trip to Baxter Park saw us take on a club we’ve had some epic battles with in recent times. In the Scoobs the cockroach Dion found himself in the unusual position of having to leave blokes out rather than chasing numbers. It’s a good sign for the club entering the colder months that we have depth and importantly it helped chalk up another victory. The boys are improving each week, so the next step forward is to take a big scalp. Today at home is your chance to do that. The ladder and competition is tight making every win a gold bar. Today’s your chance to make a statement and let the competition know that Sorrento is here and we’re the real deal. Leave nothing in the tank and we’ll take whatever result that brings.

The seniors was always going to be a ripping contest and it didn’t disappoint. It was goal for goal and plenty of lead changes throughout the day. Frankston found themselves in front when it mattered so kudos to them, but there were plenty of positives to take from the day. The performance of some of the “next generation” was a highlight with their pressure acts and discipline. It was disappointing to lose but the fact the top 3 sides lost on the day shows if you’re off by a little, you’ll get found out. It’s how we bounce back that matters, so we’d expect nothing less than a 4 quarter effort next Saturday.

Thought of the week: Why isn’t W pronounced double V !
