Glossy’sNotes

We ventured up to Bonbeach last Saturday for the first time in a long time. What a sensational set up they have too with the magnificent stadium and one of the best decks you could wish to play on. They turned on the weather to, so it was all set for a good day.

The Scoobs made it two in a row as they begin to work their way into the season. It was a tight tussle for most of the day which is what we’ve come to expect quickly in the new competition. But the boys with a nice blend of youth and experience were able to come away with what in the end was a reasonably comfortable victory. Numbers on the track are what we want as we look to set up our season over the next month.

The seniors were down at quarter time against a Bonbeach side that came out snarling. The second quarter however saw the boys playing the type of footy that would make a jelly fish hard. The only negative for the quarter was when the coach went into a pack optimistically and came out misty optically. He was done for the day, but we had plenty that took up the slack in what was our best 4 quarter effort for the year. Next Saturday brings a new challenge so know time to take the foot off, let’s be sure to bring our A game again.

Thought of the week: If we can’t see air, do fish see water!
