6 CORRESPONDENCE

A Christmas lights in the village this year. Cllr D Porter.

E Would it be possible for the Thornton le Dale Playing Field Association to book the Village Green for a cake and book stall on 15 June and 13 July from 10-12?

F Would it be possible to have the Parish Councils approval for the scarecrow committee to use the green during the Scarecrow festival from August bank holiday weekend 24th August until Monday 26th August inclusive. We would like to use it for visitors to collect trail maps and have a few scarecrows dotted around. Also, in front of the Alms houses, I cannot remember if I spoke to Parks about this, or is it again Parish Council?

I will personally make sure that everything is cleared and removed when we have finished.

G Removal of trees at Roseberry, Thornton Le Dale and Heron Garth , Thornton Le Dale.

H Illegal parking. Apparently the information that I have been given by Councillors is inadequate for the police to investigate further. I would appreciate more information to pass to the relevant officer.

PC 19 Constable Marsden

Could you please expand on the below locations and potential offences please. I am unaware of any parking restrictions in the area of The Crescent, regarding the church, you say the right, is that travelling in an east or west direction. As soon as I can identify the exact locations and offences I will deal with them.

I have been asked by the council to report two areas of illegal parking:-

1  High Street on the right hand side just passed the church

2  Top of the Crescent near the post box and Castle Road

7 FINANCE

1 Service costs for the clocks in Thornton Le Dale.

2 Unpaid allotment rents.

3 The cost of each refill for the salt bins is £75.00

8 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Of an urgent nature, not being of a financial nature and not affecting any policy decisions of the Parish Council.
