THISWEEK’S ACTIVITIES:

  • Wednesday, March 3rd – Senior’s and Junior’s can sign up in the Guidance Dept. to meet with Middle TN State Univ. admission counselor. You will be excused during RTI Block (3rd) . Your teacher will have a list of names that excuses you from class.
  • University of Arkansas Pine Bluff packets are due in by Friday, February 26th . You may pick up packets in the Guidance Dept.

Bridge Builder applications are due Friday, February 27th.

ACT Workshop in Somerville

The University of TN Martin Somerville site will host a ACT Prep Class March 5th ,12th , and April 2nd. 8:00 a.m. – 12 Noon. Registration fee $90. Financial assistance is available if you are unable to pay. Register online at:

2016 – 2017 Registration will take place the first week of March. Listen for your grade level and homeroom to be called.

The Quest Bridge College Prep Scholars Program for Juniors- are uniquely prepared to gain admission and full scholarships to top-tier colleges through QuestBridge. The majority are also selected as Finalists for the National College Match. Being selected as a College Prep Scholar is a notable distinction that celebrates your achievements and gives you an early start in applying to college. For more details, visit

Scholarships

The Original Fayette County Civic and Welfare League Scholarship- 2.5 GPA, read the History of the Fayette County, TN Civil Rights Movement (referred to as The History and provided with the scholarship application); and submit the Original Fayette County Civic and Welfare League Scholarship application form and the required attachments. Southwest Tennessee Community College Student Book Scholarship- go to:

for more information. Award up to $500 toward books and other school supplies.

You must apply to Southwest ASAP to be admitted so you may apply for these additional Scholarships by March 15th.

Veterinary Summer Experience -UT Collegeof Veterinary Medicine-­‐Must havea 3.0 GPA, be available to work full time (40 hrs. per week) between June 6th-July 15th, 2016. Students will work in local veterinary practices for 5 weeks and spend one week at UT Knoxville participating in activities at the UT Veterinary College. Must apply by March 11, 2016 at
