Dear Parents,
If you have a child who is currently in Year 3 or older and you feelready as a family to prepare with your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2018please indicate your interest on the attached Enrolment Form or downloading the form from the Dutton Park Parish website ( and return to the Parish Office by Thursday, 15th March.
Children in Year 3 will continue their sacramental journey by completing the sacrament of Confirmation this year followed by the sacraments of First Communion and Reconciliation in Year 4.
This year’s sacramental candidates will celebrate their Confirmation on Wednesday, 30th May at 6pm.
Here are some of the important dates to contemplate when you are considering enrolling in this year’s program:
- An Information Evening will be held on Wednesday, 25th April at 6pm in St Ita’sChurch for all candidates and their parents.
- A compulsory Commitment Mass will be held during Family Mass on Saturday 28th April at 5pm in the St Ita’s Church.
- Candidates will be asked to complete (by working collaboratively in small groups) a Confirmation Preparation Workbook over a three week periodand attend oneConfirmation Rehearsal. After this Rehearsal candidates will be asked to submit their workbook to Fr Lam for review.
- Candidates will be asked to complete their workbook over the followingthree week period:
Week 1.Week commencing 29th April 2018
Week 2.Week commencing 6th May 2018
Week 3.Week commencing 13th May 2018

For the program to be successful we need members of the community volunteering to administer the program to the children. It may initially seem like a daunting proposition but there will be plenty of support provided. Basically, it requires taking a small group to work through a booklet and provide support and guidance to the children.
