This week we welcome back Miss Lyla and Mr Angelo after their very exciting travels overseas! They have lots of stories and laughs to share about all their adventures. I would like to thank everyone in the community for their support while I have been leading the school. I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity and the experience has taught me a lot about how valuable it is to have strong school-community relationships.
This weekend is a long weekend so there will be no school on Monday 5th June. We hope that everyone has the chance to get out and enjoy some camping and fishing over the three-day weekend and look forward to having all of the students back at school on Tuesday!
Thank you, everyone for welcoming Angelo and me back to Beagle Bay and school. It is soooooo good to be back!
Sacramental Retreat
Our Sacramental students are preparing for the sacrament of First Eucharist and Confirmation and will have a combined retreat on Tuesday 6th June, 2017. We wish them well and keep them and their families in our prayers as they continue on their faith journey.
Excursions
This week the AFaFE mums, dads and toddlers are heading into Broome to visit the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park. It will be a wonderful experience for the children and a great way for the parents to share in a rich educational experience with their children.
School Reports
Teachers have started preparing for school reports which will go home at the end of this term. Our students speak Aboriginal English as their home language and come to school to learn Standard Australian English (SAE). We have been developing a new reporting system for English that reflects this and that shows how our students are progressing in using SAE to help them learn. Reports will be handed out in the last week of term before the Market Night.
Thanks everyone for the posts that you have placed to encourage fundraising for our Choir
and Secondary Camp for next term. All donations are welcome!
Our Deadly Focus this week is: ‘Deadly Respect’
