I hereby promise and agree to the following:

1)  I know that this is a previously rescued and spayed or neutered, rabbit. No guarantees of health can be made, but foster parent name will provide any past known medical history.

2)  I will learn how to properly handle my rabbit, and continue learning about its needs, behavior and care.

3)  I will promise to provide:

Ø  Adequate, secure indoor housing

Ø  Sufficient food, clean water, routine grooming, and daily exercise

Ø  Provide good sanitary conditions, and humane treatment at all times.

4)  Not to sell, trade, transfer ownership, abandon, or dispose of this animal in any way, but to keep the animal as a beloved pet/ and indoor companion. If it becomes impossible for me to care for this animal, I agree to return the animal to foster parent name, or notify foster parent name of plans for rehoming that is acceptable to her.

5)  To seek a rabbit knowledgeable vet for my rabbit should my rabbit become sick or injured.

6)  I agree to comply with all state and local laws pertaining to animal ownership.

7)  I agree to assume all risks and responsibilities of ownership for the animal once it is in my possession, and to defend and protect foster parent name against any and all liability claims for damages arising out of the my adoption and ownership of this rabbit.

8)  I do hereby declare that I am aware:

a)  That rabbits chew and dig, and so I will protect my valued furnishings from them by rabbit proofing their area, and to provide suitable substitutes for this natural behavior.

b)  I will provide daily attention, love and protect this rabbit from harm.

c)  That rabbits are easily stressed and will keep them in a quiet, non-stressful environment.

d)  That rabbit’s do not respond to discipline, but rather rewards and attention.

e)  That animals and young children should be closely supervised when they are together.

f)  That this rabbit’s behavior may change after it leaves my foster care, and that patience and an adjustment period should be expected.
