Assignment:

Your final exam in English I consists of a prepared oral presentation and a written evaluation. On the day of your oral exam, you will come to class with a monologue (single character speech) memorized from the play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” by William Shakespeare.

Before you present, you must turn in your completed information form to the teacher.

Then, after you introduce yourself to the class, you are responsible to present your exam in three parts:

  1. Present the memorized speech from the play, word-for-word.

The monologue must be a minimum of ten lines.

  1. Translate the memorized piece for your audience.
  2. Choose a main idea from the monologue that still applies to life today, over 400 years later! Explain that connection to the class.
