This document is meant to help individuals who are frequently required to log into SharePoint . Pearson employees should have seamless SharePoint access while behind the VPN.
Background
“teams.insidePearson” is the web address for Pearson’s SharePoint sites, which store a number of Playbook and other files. All Pearson employees should have seamless access to the files on SharePoint sites when you are behind the VPN, the same security process as Playbook – this means you should not be required to login multiple times to access information stored on Playbook or on SharePoint.
If you are continually required to login when you click on a document stored on SharePoint – there is a default setting that should be changed on your intranet browser.
If you use Intranet Explorer, you can stop this issue by following this step-by-step tutorial document. This tutorial will allow you to change your default settings so your computer recognizes Pearson’s SharePoint sites as secure websites – and you should no longer be asked to login to access SharePoint, or documents on Playbook housed on SharePoint.
Browser Tips
· The current version of SharePoint works best with Internet Explorer. Please use Intranet Explorer if at all possible.
· Mac Users: Please use Firefox if at all possible; it is the second best browser for SharePoint. After you type in your password once, Firefox should remember your SharePoint login credentials.
· Chrome also should recognize that you are behind the VPN.
· Unfortunately, we are not currently able to support Safari users, but will update this document with future findings.
Additional Tips
· SharePoint will occasionally require you to type PEROOT\ before your network username when logging in. Example: PEROOT\ubastem
· You may experience issues if your network password is expiring – you may need to reset your password or contact the corporate helpdesk to ensure your password was updated properly.
· If this process does not help your issue, please contact for extra support. Please send a screenshot of your specific issue.
