Andalusia

there’s only one

INTRODUCTION

There are a group of students from Edinburgh who want to visit Andalusia. They would like to get enough information about Andalusian monuments, clubs and gastronomy, because they are going to stay only 10 days there. As they don’t rely on travel agencies and tourist guides, they have sent a letter to your teacher of English who where teaching Spanish there last year. As Andalusia is so big and beautiful, your teacher doesn’t know what they would like to visit. You need to help her with that business. In groups of three, you need to select a province from Andalusia and the best places in which these Scottish students can find enjoyment. Then you have to make a web-page with the sources your teacher has chosen, explaining why you have chosen them and describing your own experiences if you have been there.

TASK

If possible, you have to form eight groups of three students and to choose a province from Andalusia. You need to choose the best places and monuments to visit, and the best typical gastronomy from the sources below. Each student has to choose one point (places, monuments and gastronomy). They need to give their personal point of view in a web-page they need to make after choosing their material. After that, the whole class will choose three different itineraries crossing each province from Andalusia which help our foreigner students to discover the south of Spain.

THE PROCESS

  1. Create a group
  2. choose an Andalusian province
  3. each student has to choose a topic (places to visit, monuments to see, typical Andalusian gastronomy)
  4. look for information in “resources”
  5. choose information about your topic
  6. give your personal point of view
  7. speak with your partners about your information
  8. create a web-page with your partners
  9. visit the web-pages created by the rest of your class-mates
  10. choose with the rest of the class, three different itineraries which cross the eight Andalusian provinces.
