Twitter Posts

There are five parts.

Part One

Part one is a one-time task:

  1. Go to:
  2. Copy the title of the bottom post (not including the date) before the bold “Previous Posts” header.

This video shows how to do the task. Try to post only ONE of these posts on each day and spread them out a little. So you might do 7/13/2013 for the first one and then 7/15/2013 for the next and then 7/20/2013 for the next. And so on.

  1. To do this whole page should take about 30 minutes. Maybe a bit longer since you need to learn. But definitely no more Go over to the Spreadsheet attached, which is the updated HootSuite Tweets.

  1. Each date should have exactly 2 tweets in column C. You will need to add dates in so that every date from now through one year from now is in there.
  2. Find the nearest date with 0 or 1 tweets scheduled and paste the Post title in Column C.
  3. Copy the URL of the post. Right click / Copy Link Location in Firefox.
  4. Paste the URL in column C as well.
  5. Add a time to Column B. Each date should have one time that is before 12:00 and one that is after 12:00. Doesn’t matter exactly how it is. Mix it up. Some days can be 8:30 and 14:45. Others can be 11:30 and 22:00. Just make sure the times end in 0 or 5.
  6. Add or find a date approximately 3 months later (doesn’t have to be exact) with 0 or 1 tweets.
  7. Copy that cell (Column C) and add it to the date 3 months later. Repeat 2 more times through about one year from now. So 4 posts spread over 1 year.
  8. Continue and work your way up the list of posts.

Part Two

One-time task

  1. Go to and go to bottom of the page. Click on the “Older” link.
  2. Continue clicking that link until you see a post with the title “In Defense of the Six-Day Workweek.”
  3. Open that post in a new tab.
  4. Copy the title of the post.
  5. Go over to the Spreadsheet attached, which is the updated HootSuite Tweets.
  6. Each date should have exactly 2 tweets in column C. You will need to add dates in so that every date from now through one year from now is in there.
  7. Find the nearest date with 0 or 1 tweets scheduled and paste the Post title in Column C.
  8. Copy the URL of the post in the URL bar.
  9. Paste the URL in column C as well.
  10. Add a time to Column B. Each date should have one time that is before 12:00 and one that is after 12:00. Doesn’t matter exactly how it is. Mix it up. Some days can be 8:30 and 14:45. Others can be 11:30 and 22:00. Just make sure the times end in 0 or 5.
  11. Add or find a date approximately 6 months later (doesn’t have to be exact) with 0 or 1 tweets.
  12. Copy that cell (Column C) and add it to the date 6 months later.
  13. Add dates approximately 3 and 9 months after the first date.
  14. Look right below the large image for text. (Sometimes there won’t be any text, skip all steps in green if so)

  1. Copy the text BEFORE (Click to Tweet). Paste into
  2. Continue and work your way up the list of posts.
  3. Paste that whole text in the 3 month and 9 month dates Column C. Add the URL too.
  4. Continue up each post until you are at the current post.

Part Three

Monthly

Each week go to

Look for any new entries since the last time (they will be at the top). There should be 3-4 new entries each month.

Do exactly what you did in part three for these posts.

Part Four

Weekly

Each week go to

Do exactly what you did in Step Two for each new post since the last time.

Part Five

Each week, add all of the posts for the upcoming week into HootSuite.

  1. Go to
  2. Login with: | Password: b3nt0nd0ugl@5
  3. Go to the compose section (top left)

  1. Copy the C cell into the message.
  2. Click on the Calendar icon

  1. Select the date and time for the row.

Copy and Paste the Date (column A) into the Date field (Red arrow)

Select the time.

9:00 = 9:00 AM

11:00 = 11:00 AM

12:00 = 12:00 PM

13:30 = 1:30 PM

23:00 = 11:00 PM

Etc.

  1. Click Schedule
  2. Repeat with each row.

Then delete those from the spreadsheet.
