Description of PCN: / This notice specifies a Communication Manager 2.0.1 Service Pack/Software Update 00.1.221.1-8182, Software Update Procedures, and associated Release Notes.
This service pack/software update package applies to Communication Manager 2.0.1 (software load R012x.00.1.221.1) only. This service pack/software update is not applicable to any other software loads or releases of Communication Manager.

Reason for PCN: / Service pack/software update for Communication Manager 2.0.1
How to Determine if Product is Affected: / This PCN applies to S8300, S8500, and S8700 Media Servers running Communication Manager 2.0.1 (software release R012x.00.1.221.1) only. To determine the release of Communication Manager software that is being run on a server you can execute the swversion command from the bash shell or execute a list configuration software-versions command from the SAT.
The Release Notes associated with this service pack/software update provide a list of specific updates that are included in the service pack/software update package. To obtain the Release Notes please refer to the Provisioning Instructions section of this PCN.
Required Materials
(If PCN is Customer Installed): / The service pack/software update package 00.1.221.1-8182.tar.gz is required.
NOTE: No new RFA license file is required. The existing Avaya Communication Manager 2.x RFA license is used.
The Software Update Procedures documentation, which lists the steps required to install the service pack/software update is recommended.
The release notes associated with the service pack/software update are recommended.

  1. Then click on the appropriate server (e.g., S8700 Media Server or S8300 Media Server or S8500 Media Server)under Media Gateways and Media Servers, depending on which media server is being updated
  2. Then click on Software Downloads
  1. Then click on Avaya Communication Manager Software Updates for 2.0.1 to access the service pack/software update download or instructions on how to install the service pack/software update.
