Lots of drawings have been found in caves to show what happened a long long time ago. Create your own cave picture and describe the event in detail.
How did Stone Age people communicate? Use books and the internet for ideas and write them in paragraphs. / Write an adventure story which includes a character in the Stone Age or a character traveling back to the Stone Age. Remember adjectives, conjunctions, punctuation, beginning, middle and end.
Create a non-fiction book that would help people to understand the Stone Age. Include a contents page, headings, sub-headings and pictures.
Write a Diary entry for – A Day in the Life of a Stone Age Person. / Create a timeline to show events from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
Write 10 word problems which relate to the Stone Age. They could be to do with equipment needed to cook, hunt, food amounts etc. / Thinking about the Stone Age and the food that they ate, do you think they had a good balanced diet? Describe and compare to the food you eat.
Draw a food pyramid and label it correctly. List 5 different foods for each food group in lists.

Create a poster using Word, to go up in the class, to explain all about how The Stone Age hunted and gathered food.
Research how The Stone Age differ from The Iron Age. What are the differences? / Create a picture/collage to show cave drawings and explain what it shows.
Using different resources create items that The Stone Age would use for hunting and cooking. E.g. spear, pots, bow and arrow, make a Stone Age Stew (photos) / Describe what an Archaeologist is and how they have helped us understand about The Stone Age.
Research and think about a historical place linked to the Stone Age and write a detailed report. / Write a piece of information text on the beliefs of Stone Age people. It is suggested they believed in a spirit world.
Write a piece of information text on Stone Age clothing and jewellery. Include where they got the resources from and what they represented.
