Accessibility at the Parade
The annual San Diego Pride Parade is among the largest in the United States, attracting over 100,000 cheering spectators and significant media participation.

Time: 11:00 am

Parade Route
The parade begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at the intersection of Normal Street and University Avenue, and heads west on University until 6th Avenue. There it turns south and travels along 6th Avenue, ending at Laurel Street. From there, you can enter the Music Festival at the Main Gate, located on Balboa Drive south of Laurel Street or the Juniper Gate (Juniper Street east of 6th Avenue).
Route Length: 1.1 miles
Accessible Seating
The tented Accessible Seating Area is wheelchair accessible and is located on the southwest corner of University Avenue and Richmond St. **Note: these seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Accessible Tented Seating Area
This area is reserved for the following:
- Senior citizens
- Guests with a disability and their companion
- Guests who use Sign Language Interpreters
- Access will be given to service dogs needing protection from sun.

Accessible Senior Seating: The San Diego LGBT Community Center’s Senior Services has a fabulous program whereby qualified individuals canreserve a seat in advance.
American Sign Language Interpreters
Interpreters will be provided in the Accessible Seating Area.
Parade Shuttle Stop
Passengers will be dropped-off/picked up at the northwest corner of Essex St. near the corner of Essex St. and Richmond St.
To get to the Festival after the parade:
- Return to the shuttle stop and take the shuttle to the festival, assistance available when requested.
- To call for a wheelchair accessible shuttle please inform a parade accessibility team member.
Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located south of University Ave. on the northwest corner of Richmond St. and University Ave.
