Who is GTBC?
We are an interdenominational Bible College and have been in Uganda for over 45 years. We are an evangelical college whose doctrinal emphasis is along Pentecostal / Renewal lines.
Why Study a Certificate
The Certificate in Christian Ministry isthe basic essential award we offer in our curriculum. The curriculum is designed for both ordained and lay leaders on part-time and full-time non-resident basis. The course is designed for mature born-again Christian students who are seeking to do Christian leadership both in church and in their communities by relating issues in the Bible to their current contexts. Successful completion of this certificate could qualify a student for admission into the Diploma in Christian Ministry or Diploma in Theology programme.
Who Qualifies to Enroll in this CERTIFICATE Programme?
If you are a S.4 graduate (U.C.E)OR its equivalent from another institution you may apply. For all applicants, the pastor’s recommendation is a MUST.
What if I have studied in another Institution?
If you have studied in another College, GTBC may accept transfer of credits from those previous studies. GTBC reserves the right to assess, accept, or reject credits at its own discretion.

How long does the certificate in Christian ministry take?
A student who qualifies for the award of a Certificate in Christian Ministry will normally take ONE year.
The academic year begins the first week of February and ends the first week of December. There are three 11-week Diploma terms per year, covering approximately Feb-Mar-Apr, Jun-Jul-Aug, and Sep-Oct-Nov.
Do I have to be Full Time or Residential?
Full Time students study in the morning, afternoon and some evenings. It may not be convenient for some students to study this way.
Students can study part-time and arrange their own schedule in accordance with their needs.
They can do this by taking courses in the following specialized formats:
• Evening School (5:30pm - 7:30pm)
•Bite-Sized (intensive 1-week or 2-week courses)
• Self-Study (i.e. “Study at home”) courses.
What Must I do to Graduate?
• Earn at least 30 credits in coursework
• Pass all 30 creditsof the required 30 credits
How Much does it Cost?
1. For Full-Time students (either Residential or Non-residential):
Registration/Tuition:UGX 800,000/= per term (Note: there are 3 terms per year.)
Books:Will be loaned to the student (or student may purchase books if so desired, at an extra cost)
Food:Included in tuition
Accommodation:Included in tuition
2. For Part-Time students (i.e. Non-residential):
Registration:UGX 15,000/= per term
Tuition:UGX 33,000/= per credit hour
Books:varies from 7,000 up to UGX 12,000 per book
Food:Available at extra cost
Accommodation:Not available at GTBC
