Theatre Hullabaloo is a pioneering theatre company creating quality work for young audiences based in the North East of England. We believe that children and young people have an entitlement to access theatre of the highest quality and greatest artistic challenge, so we collaborate with artists working at the forefront of their artform, developing ideas with young people, to create excellent and inventive theatre.

The Berry Theatreis the South East’s newest creative landmark and a venue committed to making theatre for, by and with children and young people.

CAST

We are currently casting for our autumn touring production of The Elves and the Shoemakers. We are looking for a talented ensemble of four actor / musicianswith a range of skills including strong singing voices:

One Female Performer and One Maleperformerto play: Old Woman & Old Man

Strong physical performers required with good singing voices who can play a musical instrument.

One Male Performer & One Female Performerto play : Boy Elf & Girl Elf

Skilled puppeteers required to manipulate and voice the puppets of the elves. There may also be some other minor puppetry work. These performers will also play other ensemble parts.

Theatre Hullabaloo is an ITC Approved Manager and all fees, subsistence etc are in line with ITC / Equity agreements. Rehearsals take place at The Point, Eastleigh. Eastleigh and Darlington both serve as company bases for the duration of the contract. All touring teams at are CRB checked as part of normal employment procedure.
